Mueller Greenways Designation as Public Parks
On January 18, 2024, the Austin City Council approved a resolution to dedicate three greenways that encircle the Mueller community as public, city-owned parkland, making these parks eligible for city-funded programs and amenities such as a dog park.
The City Council also approved a parkland maintenance agreement with the Mueller Property Owners Association (POA). The Mueller POA continues to maintain these greenways for the city and receives substantial funding to offset these expenses. Both the city and the Mueller POA must support a proposed project before it can be approved (see Sec. VI. Future Parkland Improvements).
