About the Survey

The Austin Parks & Recreation Department (PARD) has offered to fund a dog park pilot project in the Mueller community, and to fund the installation of a permanent dog park if the pilot project is a success. The Mueller Property Owners Association (POA) has announced plans to appoint a dog park working group.

Your responses to this survey will provide important data to help inform the working group's evaluation process.

About the Dog Park Pilot Program

Austin PARD’s pilot dog park program aims to reduce conflicts between park users and off-leash dogs, encourage compliance with leash ordinances, and collect public comments to assess a pilot project's success — before investing in a permanent park.

Two potential sites have been identified for a dog park pilot project in Mueller.

  • Option 1: The Southeast Greenway between Tom Miller Street, Zach Scott Street, Manor Road, and Sorin Street, next to the city-owned skate park.

  • Option 2: The Northwest Greenway between Philomena Street, Lancaster Drive, I-35, and the Delwood II neighborhood, behind a retail shopping center.
